My First Art Shop Adventure: Selling Paintings & Coasters

Hi everyone! 👋 I’m 11 years old, and this year I tried something totally new — I started selling my own handmade acrylic paintings and drawing designs on coasters right on the spot. It was such an exciting experience, and I want to share my story with you!

🌟 How It All Started

I’ve always loved drawing and painting, but I never thought people would actually want to buy my art. One day, my family encouraged me to try selling some of my acrylic paintings.I found the opportunity through Safra Kidspreneur Event. Its a special event for kids to be entrepreneurs. They said, “You should share your talent with others!” So I set up a little table with my paintings and blank coasters, ready to create designs for anyone who asked.

🎨 Acrylic Paintings

My paintings were all original : no tracing, no copying. Just me, my brushes and pens, and lots of colors. I painted things I love:

• 🌸 Bright flowers with bold petals

• 🐦 Cute animals like rhino and panda

• 🌅 Colorful sunsets that made me feel calm

People stopped to look, and some even bought them! That made me so happy.

🖌️ On-the-Spot Coaster Drawings

The coolest part was drawing on coasters right when someone requested it. Imagine this: someone comes up and says, “Can you draw my name with flowers around it?” and I grab a coaster and start sketching right there.

Here are some of the designs I made:

• 🌼 Flower Coaster: Big daisy in the middle with tiny blossoms around the edges.

• 🐾 Animal Coaster: A playful rhino with paw prints circling the coaster.

• ✨ Custom Name Coaster: Names written in bubble letters with stars and hearts.

• 🦋 Nature Coaster: A butterfly flying over leaves and vines.

Every coaster was unique, and people loved watching me create them live.

💖 Support & Encouragement

My family cheered me on the whole time. They helped me set up, told me to keep going when I got nervous, and celebrated every time someone bought a piece. Purchasers also encouraged me — they said things like “You’re so talented!” and “Keep making art!” That made me feel proud and motivated.

😊 How I Felt

This was a brand-new experience for me. At first, I was shy, but then I realized how fun it was to share my art. I felt happy, excited, and inspired. It’s amazing to know that something I made with my own hands could bring joy to others.

🖼️ What’s Next?

I want to keep painting and drawing more designs. Maybe I’ll try bigger canvases or even make a series of coasters with themes like “Ocean Animals” or “Magical Forest.”
